Plan every paycheck

  • Four new languages. Penny now speaks Portuguese, French, Russian and Indonesian, as well as English, Spanish, Chinese, Hindi and Arabic. Bank alerts, quick entry, reminders and Ask Penny understand them too.
  • Cash-flow calendar. See your expected balance on every day ahead, with the days money gets tight or runs short clearly marked.
  • Payday plan. When you get paid, Penny suggests how to split it between bills, goals and spending, and tracks how the plan is going.
  • Goal autopilot. A safe amount to put toward your goals, a warning when one falls behind, and how to reach it sooner.
  • Subscription watch. Yearly costs, price rises caught, a reminder before a free trial ends, and what you've saved by cancelling.
  • Split a bill. Record what friends owe you, see who still owes what, send a reminder and mark them as repaid. Only your share counts toward your spending.
  • Trip mode. Group a trip's spending in one place, enter amounts in the local currency and see the total when you're back.
  • Smarter Ask Penny. Ask about paydays, trips, subscriptions, who owes you, where your money goes, or compare one month with another.
  • Share to Penny (Android). Share a bank message or a receipt photo to add it straight away. On a computer, paste a bank message.
  • Tappable charts. Tap a slice, bar or day to see what's behind it.
  • Fewer interruptions. Most “Are you sure?” prompts are gone. Just tap Undo if you change your mind.
  • Smarter duplicate guard. It catches the same purchase arriving from two accounts, or in a converted currency.
  • Easier to use for everyone. Stronger text contrast, chart descriptions for screen readers, patterns that don't rely on colour alone, and your phone's font size on Android.
  • Your colours. Match Penny's accent colour to your phone or Windows, with smoother motion throughout.

Receipts, bank alerts and reminders

  • Scan a receipt (Android). Penny fills in the total, the shop and the date, with the photo attached. It's read on your phone and never uploaded.
  • Smarter bank notifications (Android). More banks, about 40 currencies, tidier shop names, the right account for each card, and purchases abroad converted.
  • Swipe gestures (Android). Swipe to delete or repeat a transaction, mark a bill paid, move between tabs, or pull down to add.
  • Stay on track (Android). An evening reminder only on days you haven't added anything, a heads-up before a renewal, and weekly and monthly summaries.
  • Insights that matter most first. Ranked by the money at stake, with warnings for budgets heading over, fees and habits that add up.
  • A fairer report. Your health score is saved every month so you can watch it change.

A calmer look, everywhere

  • A new design. One card style, quieter surfaces, clearer headings and category colours you recognise at a glance.
  • Overview starts with today. What you can safely spend today, how much you've used, and your net worth with its 30-day trend.
  • Pure white and pure black themes. Four looks in all; pure black is easy on the eyes and on phone batteries.
  • Budgets ranked by urgency and a faster New transaction sheet that asks for the amount first.
  • Settings, reorganised into clear groups, each saying what's inside.

Tidier Transactions

  • One filter row. Search, period and type side by side, with every other filter in one panel and removable chips.
  • Readable charts in every language, and narrow windows that lay out properly.

Penny Research health model

  • A smarter Financial Health Report. Every benchmark checked against the latest household-finance research. 80 and above is healthy, 40 to 79 is coping, below 40 is vulnerable.
  • Fairer scores and new measures, including bills paid on time, savings that cover your dated goals, and how much of your spending is planned.
  • One set of targets everywhere: save 15% of income, a cash buffer of 3 to 6 months, and housing at 30% of income or less.
